OSOP 08 Schools' Workshop Programme: Creative Bus Journeys

Children working with Lisa Berry

Children visiting work by Michael Shaw

On Tuesday 17 June children from Castle Primary school had a tour of the artworks and went on a 'creative bus journey' with community arts organisation Seahouses and students from Northampton University to visit children from Welford Primary School. On 19 June children from Weford made a jouney to the bus station and Castle Primary.

Jane Roberts of Seahouses said “All the children had such a fantastic time. Seeing the artwork in the Bus Station travelling on a double decker bus and meeting new friends. The children produced lovely work relating the to exhibition which everyone can now see in the Nexus shop in Greyfriars.

We hope this new relationship between the urban Castle Primary School and the rural Welford Primary School will offer more opportunities for joint outings and activities and that the children will gain clearer understanding of each other and develop friendship”.
