Call for submission for exhibitions in June 2007
This exciting opportunity is aimed at contemporary visual, installation and performance artists. The opportunity is up to five commissions for new atwork on the theme of 'transport'. OSOP commissions contemporary art in non-gallery spaces in and around the town centre. The artwork must be temporary in nature.
The chosen artists must be available to work within the proposed space for a minimum of one week during June 2007, interacting with the space, staff and the public to make at least part of the work on site.
Attendance at two walking tours when the general public will get the opportunity to see the artwork and meet each artist.
The project runs alongside the Northampton Festival during the month of June 2007.
Commission: Up to five commissions of £1000 (plus £200 towards material costs) dependant on number of artists selected.
